This year, The Grass Grows is presenting a group show of 30 italian and international artists during the week of Art Basel. As a new way to display contemporary art and give rise to new ideas and synergies, it focuses on the display of emergent, alternative and experimental art curated by The Format Contemporary Culture Gallery, Glenda Cinquegrana: The Studio and Art.Lab Gallery.
The three main points of focus are: to bring a new space to showcase emerging artists; call the attention of high profile commercial events that have lost and open eye to create alternative and new forms of expression; and develop new ideas for the future departing from the main root that is linguistic and cultural experimentation.
The artists exhibiting are: Milena Altini, Francesco Ardini, Sonia Elizabeth Barrett, Matteo Berra, Michal Bugalski, Dario Carratta, Sandro del Pistoia, Rowam D.G. Corkill, Marco Demis, Francesco De Molfetta, Ninni Donato, Eloise Ghioni, Luca Grechi, Giovanni Guadagnoli, Majida Khattari, Francesco Irnem, Maurizio L'Altrella, Diego Miguel Mirabella, Noemi Montanaro, Svetlana Ostapovici, Monica P., Marco Carli Rossi, Mustafa Sabbagh, Seba Kurtis, Matteo Sanna, Lapo Simeoni, Valerio Spada, Angela Pellicanò, Fosco Valentini, and Aaron Van Erp.
The Grass Grows will be held from June 15th to June 22nd in Reheinstrasse 74, Basel, Switzerland.
