I have never been a fan of labeling but to define The Soft Walls we might consider to file it under lo-fi psych garage rock.  As such, there is no need to find a definition for this sublime 10 tracks' album.  Dan Reeves runs his own label Faux Discs and plays in a band called Cold Pumas.  His music, under the alias The Soft Walls, is intimate and melancholic.  Guitar loops, obscure wisps and random drums are a particular blend that he prepares solo. Intimate psychedelia that happened when you mix pop with an Indian raga style composition.  An album "No Time" that is rich in layers and information.  You need several listenings to really appreciate the effort and care put in every track.  Addictive tunes that can be ghost friendly in occasions.  A record that will please those fans of Kautrock.  An album that really needs to be understood as a work itself and not divided into separated tracks.
