Ambiq is a Berlin based trio proposing a crossed genre improvisation mixing free jazz, post-rock, early electronic and cosmic dub music. The trio does what any great ensemble sets out to do: to become more than the sum of its parts, a single organism with its own unique expressive vocabulary and perspective.
Clarinetist Claudio Puntin, drummer Samuel Rohrer and electronic producer Max Loderbauer will team-up for this special occasion with Dj and producer Ricardo Villalobos. This is not the first time Villalobos and Loderbauer have collaborated together; they recently remixed the entire ECM catalogue.
Max Loderbauer is one of the cornerstones of the german electronic scene. In the 90s, he was a member of the Ambient pioneers band Sun Electric and he has been involved in various projects such as N.S.I. with Tobias Freund and a member of the Moritz von Oswald trio with Vladislav Delay.
Ricardo Villalobos is probably more popular among clubbers and party fanatics, but certainly a pivotal figure in the past decades when it comes to electronic music. Villalobos has been on the scene for a long time now and his appearances in Berlin are always awaited, specially his sets at Panorama Bar for Get Perlonized.
We are thrilled to see the live results of this challenging collaboration that will be presented in Berlin next Sunday April 24 at Radial System, presented by arjunamusic records.
